Standing by our community in this time of need

As firefighting teams across the West coast continue to battle the ongoing wildfires devastating our communities, we at Willamette Community Bank would like to take a moment to share our thoughts on these overwhelming days of struggle.

We would like to first send our heartfelt thanks to the many brave rescue teams, firefighters, and other first responders who continue to risk their lives to protect ours. Your bravery is awe-inspiring, and we are so glad that so many are willing to endure these challenging and frightening conditions to keep us safe.

We would also like to touch upon the many ways this catastrophe has drawn our community together, bringing out the best in everyone as we watch neighbors reach out to help neighbors in need. As your community bank, we want to do our part to assist the many selfless volunteers in our affected communities by encouraging our employees to assist in meeting the needs of those impacted by the wildfires.

We have made a monetary donation to both the Linn County Wildfire fund and the Santiam Canyon Wildfire Relief Fund. As we support and encourage our employees to volunteer their time to help with these efforts, we are also committed to matching employee dollar donations up to $250 per employee.

As always, our thoughts go out to everyone touched by this devastation and their families. We stand by you, ready to help in any way that we can.
